Consequent upon formation of Rayagada District during1992,the District Rural Development Agency, Rayagada has started functioning in the year-1993 covering 11 blocks and it was registered under Society Registration ACT-1960 headed by Project Director. The Chairman/ President Zilla parishad is recognized as Chairman of the Governing body of DRDA. District Collector is declared as Chief Executive Officer for implementation of the antipoverty programme.
